Myself being a global admin, i was unable to add myself as well. ![]() This is occurring on all the other folders having permissions issues. ![]() The advanced security settings window also shows" you do not have permissions to view this object's security properties, even as an administrator user" When I attempt to change the owner to administrator (And to "replace owner on subcontainers and objects" - it gives the error "An error occurred while applying security information to: (folder path name) Failed to enumerate objects in the container. Right-click the bottom left corner of your display, click File. Note: On Windows 8 and Windows 10, click on Change (next to Owner ). In the Advanced Security Settings window, make sure the Permissions tab is selected and click on Change permissions. Access the Security tab and click on Advanced. Once in the advanced properties, it shows that it's "unable to display the current owner." Log in to Windows under the account of the current owner of the file or as administrator. Right-click on the file or folder in question and select Properties. When I'm logged into the file server as the admin, go to the properties of one of the issue folders and i'm greeted with "You must have read permissions to view the properties of this object - Click advanced to continue" - Ok great. For some reason there are some folders that user couldn't get access to. ![]() ![]() Added a new user to the parent folder permissions, which is set to inherent on all files/folders. Setup is there is a folder/share that specific people have access to.
